1 – SERVICES

Adapters

Adapters are available from reception. A deposit of CHF 50 will be added to your bill and cancelled once the adapter has been returned.

Fire alarm

Our hotel is equipped with a fire detection and evacuation system. In the event of fire, head for the emergency exits and staircases indicated on the map behind your room door. Follow the instructions on the map and strictly adhere to the instructions given by our staff.

Pets

Small pets (dogs and cats only) are welcome in our establishment, but remain your sole responsibility. Please note that a supplement of CHF 20 will be charged per pet per night. Your pet must be kept on a leash at all times in our public areas.

Arrival / Departure

Your room is available from 3:00 pm on the day of arrival to 11:00 am on the day of departure. If you are unable to check in or require a late check-out, please contact reception.

Luggage

Your luggage can be left free of charge at reception on the day of your departure.

Banquets and events

If you are planning to organize a business meeting or private event during or after your stay, please do not hesitate to contact our reception team, who will be delighted to advise you.

Laundry / Pressing / Dry cleaning

The laundry service is available from Monday to Saturday. Clothes handed in before 08:45 am will be returned the same day from 6:00 pm. Clothes handed in after 9:00 am will be returned around 5:00 pm the following day. Bags and forms are available on the shelf in your bedroom wardrobe. Please hand in your laundry bag and completed form at reception.

Cigarettes

We would like to inform you that smoking is strictly forbidden in public areas and in our rooms. In the event of non-compliance, you will be charged a lump sum of CHF 200 for cleaning and repair costs.

Additional hangers

If you require additional hangers, please contact reception.

Safe / Valuables

Our hotel has equipped all rooms with a private safe. We recommend that you leave your valuables in your room safe. The hotel management declines all responsibility in the event of loss or theft.

Electric current

Bedrooms and bathrooms are supplied with 220-volt electricity. If you require an adapter, please contact reception.

Mail / Parcels

The reception team is at your disposal for any mail or parcel you may need. Parcels are collected every day except weekends and public holidays. Stamps are also on sale at reception.

Blankets / Duvets

If you would like an extra blanket or comforter, please contact reception.

Sewing set, shaving kit, dental kit, soap, shower gel, shampoo and slippers are available on request from reception.

Water

Tap water is potable and of excellent quality. However, we can provide you with a bottle of water free of charge on the day of your arrival. Bottled water is also on sale at reception.

Irons and ironing boards

If you require an iron and ironing board, please contact reception.

Fitness

The hotel is partnered with a fitness center located just a few meters from the hotel. Please contact reception to purchase your tickets at the preferential rate of CHF 15 (each). The fitness center is open from 08:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday to Friday and from 09:00 am to 15:00 pm on weekends and public holidays.

Flowers

If you would like to decorate your room, please contact reception.

Internet

Free Wi-Fi access is available. All you need to do is connect to the hotel network, enter the password on your room key case and accept the terms and conditions of use.

Newspapers / Press

Printed newspapers are available at reception and in the restaurant.

Means of payment

We accept the following methods of payment: American Express, Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro, Eurocard/Mastercard, Postcard, JCB, UnionPay, V Pay, Diners Club and cash. 

Please note that we do not accept cheques, and that change will only be given in Swiss francs. Thank you for your understanding.

Shuttle service

The Lake Geneva Hotel offers a free shuttle service to Geneva airport from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 9:00 am (departing from the hotel). After these times, the service is subject to a charge.

Reservations 24 hours in advance at reception, subject to availability.

Lost & Found

Please drop off any lost and found at reception. We keep items found by our staff for a period of one year, and return them to their owners on request. The hotel accepts no responsibility for items left behind or not found.

Pillows

We strive to make your sleep as comfortable as possible. If you require extra pillows, please contact reception. 

"Do Not Disturb" sign

To ensure your privacy and peace of mind, please place the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door. Please note that if you leave the sign outside your room, we will not be able to provide the services you have requested.

Umbrellas

Umbrellas are available at reception during your stay.

Parking

The hotel has a covered parking lot. It is located on level -4 and will be charged at CHF 21 /night. For further information, please contact reception. Free parking is available for all Deluxe and Junior Suite room bookings.

Breakfast buffet

The breakfast is served between 6:30 am and 9:30 am from monday until friday and between 7:00 am and 10:00 am during weekends.

Alarm clock

If you wish to set an alarm clock, our reception team will be happy to help.

Self-regulating, environmentally-friendly temperature system

Our hotel is Minergie-certified. The Lake Geneva Hotel is Minergie-certified. This standard meets the requirements of sustainable development, and guarantees our guests a high level of comfort during their stay in our hotel.

Minergie certification is based on 3 basic principles: excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, appropriate and efficient heat production and gentle, automatic ventilation.

As a result, ventilation is automatically controlled throughout the building and in the rooms.

3 – ACCESS AND LEISURE

Journey from the hotel to the centre of Geneva:

4 – SECURITY

For your safety

In case of an emergency, the few minutes you spend reading this section now can be very useful.

Emergency exits

Emergency exits are clearly marked on your floor, but if there is heavy smoke, you may have difficulty visualising them. We therefore ask you to respect the following points:

  • Count the number of existing doors between yours and at least two emergency exits.
  • Check where the fire extinguishers and alarms on your floor are located.
  • Understand the operation of the air conditioning system in your room (opening and closing).

If you see a fire

  • Sound the nearest fire alarm.
  • Call Reception from your phone.
  • Leave the building. Take your room key with you, if possible.
  • Lock the key or the doors to protect yourself from the fire, if you are unable to leave your room.

If a fire breaks out in your room

  • Leave your room and don't forget to take your key.
  • Lock the door behind you.
  • Set off the fire alarm and call Reception using the nearest telephone on the landing or shout on the landing of your room.
  • Notify your nearest neighbours. Go to the emergency exit.
  • Do not use the lift under any circumstances.

Evacuation caused by an alarm signal

Leave the premises immediately if the evacuation siren sounds:

  • Take your room key and move carefully.
  • Feel the door and handle with the back of your hand. If the door or handle feels abnormally hot, do not open it. If the door is not hot, open it carefully, but be prepared to close it again immediately if necessary.
  • If there is smoke in the corridors, get as close to floor level as possible. Walk on all fours if necessary. Go immediately to the nearest emergency exit, where one of our staff will be waiting to accompany you to the hotel's evacuation point.
  • Do not take the lift.
  • If the emergency exit is blocked, return to your room or head towards the roof. Stay calm and always hold on to the ramp.

If you are obliged to stay in your roo

Do not be alarmed. You can stay in your room and survive a fire. Here is the procedure to follow while waiting for help:

  • Turn off the air conditioner and heater.
  • Fill the bathtub with water (this will be your reserve to be used only when needed).
  • Call Reception to inform them of your location.
  • Soak all towels and bed linen and apply them all around the doors and vents to make sure they are completely airtight.
  • If smoke still enters your room, hold a damp blanket over your head.

If you need special assistance

If you have any medical problems, please notify the hotel reception staff upon arrival or as soon as possible so that special arrangements can be made.

Remember

Most deaths are due to smoke and toxic gas inhalation and are not caused by burns. If there is smoke - even very little - stay as close to the ground as possible. Never use the lift.

This may never happen to you

You may never need to apply these tips, but to avoid being surprised by the unexpected, be careful and always take note of emergency exits and instructions to follow in case of an emergency when entering a large building.

Your safety and security

Although the type of lock may vary from hotel to hotel, most locks are equipped with an additional security latch. This latch is operated from inside your room. We always recommend that you use it when you occupy your room and especially when you are away for the night.

Your valuables

We regret that we cannot take responsibility for valuables left in your room. You have a safe in your room for your valuables.

At the Lake Geneva Hotel, we are committed to protecting your privacy. Our policy is transparent regarding the collection, use and storage of your personal data. A full copy of the privacy policy is available for consultation at the hotel reception desk. The information and recommendations given in this section are taken from sources considered to be serious and reflect the best current opinion on this subject. Unfortunately, there is no definitive rule given on this subject that can guarantee you total protection. The list of recommendations given to you is not exhaustive and depending on the necessity of particular or exceptional conditions or circumstances, we may be led to modify its content.

One of the best terraces in Geneva, our terrace suspended over the lake enjoys a calm and pleasant environment. The place is a symbol of escape and relaxation. The atmosphere is cosy, modern and relaxed.
